Faux Leather and Plaid

It can be hard to make a combination of faux leather and plaid work appropriate.  I was so happy when I found this faux leather skirt, the length and pencil silhouette make it a versatile piece that can be worn for work or play.  I’ve found that my plaid top can do double-duty as well, depending upon which bottom it is styled with.  Even though it is normally thought of as a casual piece, pairing it with a pencil skirt makes it work for the office.

NYC Sweater and Shark Tooth Necklace

My husband’s favorite animal is a shark.  Because of this, I’m drawn to all of the shark tooth necklaces I’ve been seeing lately.  Luckily for me, I Love Jewelry contacted me to ask if I wanted to style a piece, and they happened to have a shark tooth necklace.  Of course I was all over that!  I am loving the edgy vibe that this necklace adds to my NYC sweater.  It will be a key item I will be reaching for over and over again to pair with casual outfits.
