Some Exciting News…

My husband and I are in the process of buying a condo! It is new construction, and absolutley beautiful! We are just waiting for final approval on our mortgage, but we are told we should be ok 🙂 We hope to move in mid to late April. Obviously, this means my clothing budget is pretty much going to go away for awhile. Luckily, I still have some gift cards to LOFT/Ann Taylor! Most likely, those will get used up this weekend because both stores are having 40% off everything sales 🙂

One of my favorite things about the condo is I am going to have my very own large walk in closet that I don’t have to share! (The master suite has his and hers closets, so husband will have his own) Also, I will be about 15 minutes closer to work, which will be a big help! Here are some pictures of me in the model condo. I’m sure its decorated much nicer than ours will ever be lol!

Super cool! I have a question about your boots. They are HOT! I’ve been looking for a pair like them. They resemble Intyce by Steve Madden. By any chance do you remember the name? Thanks in advance and GOOD LUCK! 🙂

Wow, congrats! The place looks amazing, and I’m sure your place will look beautiful too! After all, if you’re able to put together such lovely outfits, I bet you’ll be able to put together lovely interior designs too! The kitchen is huge, and so is that closet! Wow!!

Tara, your new condo looks absolutely charming. And OMG that is just ONE of the closets? I am dying with envy. Our closet is 1/10th of that size -not joking, maybe even smaller, AND we share it.

Congrats on this! Very happy for you.

Congratulations – this is so exciting! And I really don’t think it gets much better than his & hers closets. You’ll have to post pictures once you’re all settled & decorated.

Thank you sooo much everyone! My husband and I are truly so excited, this has been a long time coming. When we first started looking a few years ago, my husband got laid off so it put any hopes of buying a place on the back burner. Now that we are both working, we are finally in a position to buy 🙂 This condo place is offering a mortgage rate buy down as incentive to purchase, so we are getting an amazing deal, although it will still double our rent payment with mortgage, taxes, insurance and HOA fees! Scary, but I just won’t be able to shop as much! I will be sure to post decorating pictures along the way, and a closet organization post as well (that will force me to organize it well!) I am so pressed for closet space right now, I cannot wait to get into this one! We are able to upgrade things such as appliances, but the condo company preselects most upgrades. We are planning on upgrading the counter tops and some of the flooring once we move in 🙂

Sweet. So what is your opinion about the boots? I have read some reviews about how they easily get scuffed, especially at the toe. Any problems on your end? SM will have more available 2/15, so I’m doing some research on them now. You ROCK!!

taylorbaby- I love these boots…someone recently asked me what the one fashion item I couldn’t live without, and those boots were my answer! I’ve had them for over a year, and haven’t found that they scuff any more easily than any other boots I own….I think they actually have held up better than others 🙂

ReallyPetite- Thanks! You should stalk ebay for the sweater…I’m sure it will eventually turn up!

Aubrey- Thank you! I’m praying it all goes smoothly 🙂

    A- Thanks so much!

Hope you can get it! When you are ready to decortate, you should check out Ballard Designs! It very similar to Pottery Barn, but a little more cozy feeling to me. If you sign up for their emails/catalogs, they offer free shipping from time to time.

Congrats to you and hubby on your new digs. The model condo is beautiful and so nicely decorated which I AM SURE YOUR OWN HOUSE WILL BE, ONE DAY. =) I am especially in awe of the gorgeous green glass art plates on the wall. The closet is quite lavish and big, too – a bonus, always.
