Dining Room, Kitchen, West Elm Capiz Hanging Chandelier

So the next leg of the condo tour is our dining room and kitchen. The dining room, kitchen, and living room are all open concept, so I wanted the dining room to pop against the paint color of the large living room. I picked out a teal color, which is one of my favorite colors in general. We kept the gray theme going with the awesome West Elm Capiz Hanging chandelier in grey. I chose to keep the dining room accents in the teal/turquoise family. I definitely think the wall needs something, but I’m just not sure what….I was thinking maybe a mirror?? Any suggestions??

As for the kitchen, we are hoping to eventually put dark granite in and do a backsplash, but that will have to wait until we have the money, whenever that is lol! I continued the geometric/blue theme with an accent rug, potholders, and dishtowels, so I think it looks cute enough for now 🙂

Tomorrow I will be sharing my bedroom, which is the room I am by far the proudest of how it turned out….it is very “me”! I’m sure it is a little over the top for some (ok, maybe most lol) of your tastes, but I’m absolutley in love with it!!

Fun! I like your idea of a mirror. Or a collage pictures.

I have to say though…you may want to re-think your desire for dark granite! Your counters look great as is! We have cabinets like yours, but with black granite, and I totally regret it. 🙁 And if you do not get a lot of natural lighting in that room…it will just be too dark! We were able to bring some lightness into our room by adding stainless steel cabinet hardware.

Can’t wait to see your room!!

Love the color scheme! If you don’t want a mirror you could try either a wall of various black and white (or sepia) photographs or a big piece of abstract art in wild colors. But that’s just my thought! I live in a log cabin so all of my walls are brown. 🙁

Your dining room – super cute with the teal. Agree with your assessment of the wall. Maybe a nice piece of artwork to lighten the room a little. Something with cream and brown colors? Your kitchen – amazing. Your outfit – comfortable but hardly boring. Very cute top and adorable shoes!

I love getting the tour – you have done such a great job making your new place feel like home already! I’m sure you’ll find something perfect for the dining room wall – we got our big mirror at Home Goods for a steal, do you have one close to you to scope out?

The wall would look great with a big mirror or fun piece of art. I like your style with the bright colors! 🙂 Your outfit may be boring “for you” but I still think it looks great!
