Recently, I was given the opportunity bring you an Allison Izu denim review of her jeans. Many other petites have reviewed them, and I was excited to give them a try. Being only 5’2″(same height as me), Allison Izu designs clothing for petite women. From looking at the website, it appears that jeans come in sizes 000-10 with a choice of two inseams, 27″ and 31″. I was sent the Waikiki Skinny denim in a size 4 with a 31″ inseam to review. The website describes this denim as “Comfortable Mid Rise Straight Skinny that skims the hips and thighs for a slimming look.” Below are pictures of the jeans in a styled outfit:
Likes: The denim is obvious high quality and well made. It has adorable bright patterned lining on the inside waist band. I really liked the color of the jeans. I also really liked the “A” stitching on the back pockets…a very cute detail.
Dislikes: As you can see from the pictures, there are obvious fit issues. They fit my waist well, however they were too long on me. They would work better on a taller petite. Also, they seemed baggy for “skinny” jeans.
