As I’ve mentioned before, dealing with my hair has always been a struggle. It is extremely thick, coarse, wavy, and frizzy. Therefore, I am always on the lookout for any product that will make my hair easier to manage.
So of course, I was so excited when Jose Eber offered to send over some flat irons for me to try out. In addition to straightening irons, they carry salon quality hair tools such as curling irons and blow dryers. An awesome advantage of ordering with Jose Eber is that they offer a lifetime warranty – if your hair tool stops working, then they replace it!
Here is my hair after blow drying (I can’t believe I’m posting this lol…and this is my hair after a keratin treatment…naturally it’s twice as crazy!)
The first product that I tried out was the World’s Fastest Flat Iron. This is what it claims to do: 1) Heat up to it’s full temperature within five seconds 2) Hold it’s heat as it works through hair, avoiding having to straighten one piece multiple times
Well, I was shocked when I timed it and it literally took exactly five seconds to heat up…totally awesome! Normally, I have to go over each piece of my hair 3-4 times to get it to look the way that I want. With this iron, the less damaged pieces of the bottom layers of my hair only took one go-over…again, I was amazed! Other, more damaged parts of my hair took mostly 2 times, with the occasional 3 times. Overall, I’d say it cut my straightening time down by about 30%.
The iron heats up to 450 degrees, which is perfect for me! The only criticism I have is that the dial to set the temperature is the same dial that turns the iron on and off…I prefer when they are separate so I don’t have to reset the temperature every time I turn it on.
I would absolutely highly recommend this product to anyone looking to save time or lessen heat damage to their hair.
The next time I washed my hair, I tried out the hearts iron. First off, how adorable is it?? I love when my beauty tools have that extra cute, girly touch.
This iron is 1.25 inches and has 100% pure ceramic plates, which are great to minimize damage to hair. The plates are black, so they won’t discolor because of hair products you use. This iron took about 40 seconds to heat up. I had to run it over my hair the typical 3-4 times per piece. Keep in mind though, my hair is a very hard type to work with. I was happy that the dial to set the temperature was separate from the on/off switch. Overall, I didn’t notice too much of a difference between this iron and my current flat iron (which is also salon quality). I would say it is on par both in quality and price with any other salon quality iron I have used, so I would recommend it. I might even give it a slight edge due to how adorable it is!
