Green Fern Print Dress & Sultra 1.5 Inch Curling Rod Review

This green fern print dress is definitely a unique piece in my closet.  I don’t own anything else of this length, so I have enjoyed wearing it to change up my typical look.

I mentioned in my Nordstrom Anniversary Picks post that I purchased the Sultra 1.5 inch Curling Rod.  I have heard great things about Sultra products, and I was excited to give this larger rod a try. After using it a few times, I have to say I love it.  It gives me slightly larger curls that slowly fall out and turn into waves as the day..even days…go on.  I used it to curl my hair in the below pictures.  The only complaint I have about it is that it only has one heat setting (360 degrees), which I was worried about due to my thick, coarse hair.  However, it has worked perfectly for me, so it hasn’t been an issue. There are several other Sultra tools also available for great prices at the anniversary sale:  The Bombshell Cone, The Bombshell Oval Rod, and The Bombshell One Inch Curling Rod.

Thursday will be the next Summer Style linkup.  Details can be found here.

Thanks for the curling rod recommendation! I’ve been keeping my eye out for a good one. I bought a cheap $15 Conair one just to see if I like using one, and I do. I’ll make a mental note about Sultra!

Love the print and length of this dress–it would be so easier to wear to work too with a sweater! I’ve had my eye on the romper for awhile now, but I’m not sure how much use I’d get out of it… we’ll see if it goes on sale!

I haven’t tried a dress that hits pass my knees aside from maxis, but I’m very interested to do so now. I don’t know why, but whenever I curl my hair, they always end up straightening out within 3 hours or so. Do you have any tips on how to make curls hold?

Love this dress! I saw the romper in that print and considered getting it. Looking fabulous! I have no comments on the curling iron, since mine is so curly and has a mine of it’s own. But I am loving your curly locks!

Your curls look so pretty! And that might be one of my favorite dresses on you. Love that it has just enough flow to it. The colors are so pretty together.

I’ve heard such great things about Sultra products but haven’t tried out any myself yet. I always like to get the looser waves too. May have to give this one a shot while it’s on sale!
