Maximize Your Wardrobe Summer to Fall

Today I am collaborating with an awesome group of gorgeous ladies to show you ways we maximize our wardrobes, particularly transitioning items from summer to fall.  I bought this maroon top back in July, and it became my go-to date night top over the summer.  The fabric is light and airy, making it the perfect lightweight piece.  I loved pairing it with my dressy trouser shorts and gold sandals.  Now that it’s fall, it is the ideal item to use as the base piece of a layered outfit.  The color is on point for the season, and I am loving it with paired with my skinny jeans, open toe booties, and draped jacket (super similar).  I also added in some of my edgier Kendra Scott jewelry…I am just so in love with this Jayce necklace and this druzy ring.

One way that I get the most out of my wardrobe is by not viewing colors as tied to certain seasons.  If I want to wear pink in the winter, then so be it.  If you want to wear maroon in the summer, then go for it.  This top is one I can wear any season, and I plan on doing just that.

Be sure to check out the other amazing ladies for more ideas to maximize your wardrobe!

Oh I love both ways you styled this top! I am guilty of keeping certain colors limited to certain seasons, but you’ve shown how easy it is to make burgundy a summer color just by pairing it with summery pieces.

I love your philosophy! I agree that colors shouldn’t be predetermined by the season. Just wear whatever you like! It’s the best way to maximize your wardrobe

I think this theme is quite functional…because it’s the perfect way to really use what we have. I know many women change out their wardrobes from season to season, but I have many of these shirts that take me into the cooler months!
So smart, so stylish, so love this Tara!!
